I buried you today
And watched as April rain
shattered upon your freshly filled grave.
Upon the red and white roses
as they began to wilt and fall.
Alone
I stood, exhausted
until the dark of night swallowed all of me.
And slowly I walked to the silent park-
To where we watched midnight stars
under the pale of the moon.
I knelt to run my trembling hand
thru the rain slicked grass,
While I turned my anger twisted face
into the wind driven rain…
…and released the explosions
of my foreboding pain.
